Who We Are

100% Aboriginal owned Mallard Contracting has been focused on developing the skills of Indigenous youth since 2011, providing specialist turnkey services in facilities management, the installation and disconnection  of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical services, camp construction and decommissioning and civil construction.

Established in the late 1970s, Delta Group is one of the largest diversified contractors of its type in the world today, offering demolition, civil construction and earthworks, remediation and rehabilitation, environmental consulting and recycling services to industrial and commercial clients Australia wide.

Together, our vision is to provide long term job prospects and trade apprenticeships for Aboriginal people across Australia.

Robby Mallard

Wajarra-Nanada man Robby Mallard has worked across Australia in various capacities for the past 30 years. From his original plumbing apprenticeship as part of the inaugural aboriginal apprenticeship scheme in Carnarvon, to forming Mallard Plumbing & Gas operating for 14 years servicing aboriginal communities across the state for the remote State Housing Department including Kalgoorlie, Wheatbelt, Gascoyne, Pilbara and Kimberley Region. He formed Mallard Contracting in 2011 which has since grown to service government, major mining oil and gas companies in the services and civil construction arena helping him to one day reach his dream of being the largest employer of aboriginal apprentices in the country.

Con Petropoulos

Con founded Delta Demolitions in the 1970s and quickly established a reputation for his determination to deliver projects on time and on budget, as well as for an unwavering focus on exceeding his clients’ needs. He was relentless in his pursuit of innovation, constantly improving his services with each job. Con was also renowned for his leadership and the quality of his people. Together, Con and his team expanded Delta Group to incorporate a host of highly specialised sub-contracting services Australia wide. He is still ‘hands-on’ today and works with his senior management to review the performance of major projects, lead our industrial relations and manage key client relationships.
